Ho Ho Ho Holiday Book Coverage

There's been lots of exciting holiday gift guide coverage for the beautiful illustrated books that I've been working on including a fantastic placement in the Associated Press for Cartier in the 20th Century; Haute Couture Ateliers in Town & Country's gift guide; New York Mid-Century and Haute Couture Ateliers included in The Wall Street Journal's gift guide; and Markham Roberts: Decorating: The Way I See It in House Beautiful.

Markham Roberts--New Book on the Way!

The eagerly awaited new book from acclaimed decorator Markham Roberts, Decorating: The Way I See It, will be published in two weeks. It has already started to generate quite a buzz. 

Alexa Hampton tweeted, "I just saw an advance copy of Markham Roberts's book. It is going to go NUCLEAR!! It may be the best design book I've EVER seen. WOW!!" ELLE Décor has named it as one of the top nine books of the season, and the New York Post also included it in a round-up of five design books. Much, much more to come!

The English Country House helps ease the countdown to next Downton Abbey season

I can't wait for the season premier of "Downton Abbey" on January 5. In the meantime, I've been getting my fix of all things British while working on promoting the lovely book, The English Country House. Lifestyle bloggers have been giving this book wonderful reviews, highlighted by examples of James Fennell's fabulous interior photographs. 'Tis the season. . . . for gifts of coffee table books!

I always love this time of year. . . for many reasons. . . but it is so satisfying to see the wonderful media coverage for the lovely illustrated books I've been working on. It's like Christmas morning as all of the holiday round-ups in daily newspapers roll in. Check out this review of Habsburg Treasures in The New York Times; Beyond Chic and Fifth Avenue Style written up in The Washington Post; and The Art Glass of Louis Comfort Tiffany in the Minneapolis Star Tribune and Palm Beach Post (this story also ran on the wire in The Orange Country Register and Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel).
