Rowing Blazers off to a Strong Start

There's been tremendous early media interest in Rowing Blazers by Jack Carlson, including features and reviews in The Boston Globe, "The College Prepster," ELLE magazine, Esquire.com, GQ.com, Maxim.com, VanityFair.com, and much more.

Rowing Blazers offers a stunning photographic chronicle of the piped, striped, badged, and brightly colored blazers--the genesis of the ubiquitous menswear staple--still worn by oarsmen and -women around the world today.

The English Country House helps ease the countdown to next Downton Abbey season

I can't wait for the season premier of "Downton Abbey" on January 5. In the meantime, I've been getting my fix of all things British while working on promoting the lovely book, The English Country House. Lifestyle bloggers have been giving this book wonderful reviews, highlighted by examples of James Fennell's fabulous interior photographs. Thanks to The AestateFrom the Right Bank, Inspired DesignQuintessence, and The Zhush for your thoughtful reviews!

'Tis the season. . . . for gifts of coffee table books!

I always love this time of year. . . for many reasons. . . but it is so satisfying to see the wonderful media coverage for the lovely illustrated books I've been working on. It's like Christmas morning as all of the holiday round-ups in daily newspapers roll in. Check out this review of Habsburg Treasures in The New York Times; Beyond Chic and Fifth Avenue Style written up in The Washington Post; and The Art Glass of Louis Comfort Tiffany in the Minneapolis Star Tribune and Palm Beach Post (this story also ran on the wire in The Orange Country Register and Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel).

Fifth Avenue Style Bergdorf Goodman Party

Such a tremendous outpouring of lovely attention for Fifth Avenue Style! Fabulous blog postings including "Design Chic," "Habitually Chic," "Hello Lovely," "Inspired Design," "Mark D. Sikes," "The Visual Vamp," and "The Zhush" have run over the past several days. And the much-anticipated T:The New York Times Style Magazine story was fantastic!

All of this coverage was on the heels of the super-chic launch party hosted by Deeda Blair and Deborah Needleman at Bergdorf Goodman. Check out the Bergdorf window that Howard designed and the stunning limited edition of the book.

I'm so thrilled with this fantastic Tom Scheerer feature/interview by Barbara Ballinger for the Chicago Tribune. The story ran in all of the Tribune papers, so it also appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Baltimore Sun, Orlando Sentinel, Hartford Courant, etc. Wonderful exposure for Tom and his book!
